Texas hotel tax data, built for decisions
Texas Hotel Tax Intelligence turns years of hotel occupancy tax filings into a single, searchable dashboard — built for buyers evaluating an acquisition, developers researching a site for new construction, and current owners benchmarking their property against the market.
Why we built this
Hotel tax figures are scattered across years of separate filings. We built the tool we wished existed, so you can move on a deal instead of digging through paperwork.
What we do
We turn Texas hotel occupancy tax filings into one searchable dashboard for due diligence, new-build feasibility and performance benchmarking.
Independent platform
An independently operated company: not a government agency, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any state office.
Data you can rely on
Every figure comes from a filed tax return. We organize and calculate it; we never estimate or invent revenue.
About the data
Figures are calculated from Hotel Occupancy Tax returns filed with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and show total and taxable room receipts as reported by each business. RevPAR is our estimate from those receipts and the property's reported room count. Tax returns don't report rooms sold, so this data can't show average daily rate (ADR) or occupancy; those come from private surveys of hotel operators. Returns are self-reported, may be amended, and arrive after the period they cover.
